Joe and Minnie's Famous Cobbler/Pot Pie Crust

Joe and Minnie’s Famous Cobbler/Pot Pie Crust 1 Cup Flour 1-1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 4 Tbsp Butter 1 Egg 1/4 Cup Milk 3 Tbs sugar (for Cobbler) Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Cut in 4 Tbsp Butter until crumbly. Beat 1 Egg with 1/4 cup Milk. Fold the egg/milk into the dry ingredients and mix until combined but still lumpy. Spoon over cobbler or pot pie filling.

  1. I remember making this with Crisco. And the way Mom taught me to make it, we used what we called a tablespoon, but it was in the drawer with the other silverware & it wasn't a measuring spoon. So I guess it was a serving spoon. I also didn't put sugar or an egg in it. I'm pretty sure it was just flour, salt, crisco and milk. In other words, biscuit dough!
